Grand Hyatt
Hotel Review
Excellent first impressions, with a magnificent lobby lounge and beautiful sizeable rooms, which even better afforded great views over the sea and pool.
Another wide choice of excellent restaurants, particularly the stunning beach restaurant with its unique atmosphere. I would also highly recommend the Italian which was superb.
During the day, people seemed to choose to relax either by the pool or on the beach, although unlike the Chedi or Al Bustan, this was not a private beach. The pool had a swim-up bar and a large warm bubbling whirlpool where you could find me often! At one end of the pool was a 'lazy river' - which takes you round a few bends without you having to do much swimming. This was more fun that I though it might be!
There was a decent gym to work off breakfast and lunch before dinner, and also a steam room with a variety of massage treatments.
Sadly, we did not manage to visit all the bars, or even the nightclub (holidays are just too short!), but the photographs in the hotel fact sheets looked very enticing.
This hotel will definitely appeal to younger couples, families or groups of friends - there is a lively and friendly atmosphere, and I go the feeling that for many people, they were regular visitors.
